Incorporated in Texas in 1986, Infinite Options remains a Texas
Corporation. IO moved its company headquarters to Tennessee
in 1991 and is currently located in the Oak Ridge/Knoxville Technology
Corridor in East Tennessee, U.S.A. Infinite Options, Inc. was the
first in the world to develop a COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk)
optical data storage system for print spool files and database files
for IBM mid-range systems. Since then our company has provided solid
and dependable solutions and services. We have worked extensively
with IBM developers on both their software and hardware development
for many years, particularly on the iSeries-AS/400 and the 3995
optical storage system. We continue to enhance and market our iSeries-AS/400
based optical storage system, IO/DataManagement.
Infinite Options is a Golden Rule Company. The official corporate
policy is to "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Others Do Unto You."
The company follows the "Six Pillars Of Character" that has been
adopted by many states and other companies: Responsibility, Respect,
Trustworthiness, Fairness, Citizenship, and Caring.
IBM Business Partner since 1988
Partner Solution Summary
IO/DataManagement (IO/DM) is an Enterprise Level Business Intelligence
Computer Output to Laser Disk/Enterprise Report Management (COLD/ERM)
software solution implemented on the IBM iSeries and AS/400 midrange
systems. This easy to use optical storage system has been refined
& enhanced since 1989 to ensure every aspect of its data archival/retrieval,
data-mining/warehousing, disaster recovery, and data security solutions
meets the highest standards.
IO/DM's automated features and intricate indexing system allow
personnel from multiple tiers of an organization to selectively
and intelligently access the particular information pertinent to
their position while allowing management to control access to sensitive
data. Optical storage of the data is optional for those who are
simply seeking to utilize the business intelligence features while
most will also want to incorporate the optical storage options for
the disaster recovery and additional security features they encompass.
Designed to automate indexing and organization, IO/DM includes archival/retrieval
application software and hardware features used in-house by organizations
for computer generated documents/reports/print files, software libraries,
and database files. A configurable indexing system makes the archival
painless and the retrieval options put the specific data requested
back at your fingertips within moments for analysis, viewing, processing,
or printing. Database information is retrieved in its original format
to allow application software systems to process the data as usual.
With the broad spectrum and technical advantages in IO/DM, none
can match it as a business intelligence and mass data storage system
for nearly any type of data on the IBM AS/400 or iSeries system
(OS/400 platform) with precise retrieval functions. It is easy to
use, even for those with little or no information technology training,
and may be transparently interfaced with nearly any application
on the IBM host/server system, including custom application software
systems. Magnetic media may 'fade' or fail over time whereas a wide
variety of storage media may be used with the IO/DM system including
rewritable and permanent optical laser media that is impervious
to magnetic forces and has a shelf life measured by the century.
Along with previous optical technology, IO/DM also supports the
new Plasmon blue-laser Ultra Density Optical (UDO).
Our COLD software has been refined and enhanced in response to
customer requests and as a cooperative effort with IBM since 1989.
It is a very stable system!
