announces VERITAS NetBackup support for V-Series Tape Libraries

CO, August 27, 2002 - Plasmon,
a leading manufacturer of automated data storage libraries, today
announced that its V-series LTO Tape Libraries and AIT Tape Autoloaders
are now supported by VERITAS NetBackup™ for backup and recovery.
With the
introduction of the V60, Plasmon now offers two sizes of high availability
LTO Tape Libraries. The V60 provides up to 6TB of native storage capacity
along with up to four LTO Drives. It can also be ordered as a V40 with
only 40 slots and expanded to 60 slots when increased capacity is required.
The higher capacity model, the V102 can be configured with up to six LTO
drives, providing up to 10.2TB of native storage capacity. The V102 is
also available as a V68, which can be upgraded as needed. Both Libraries
come complete with Plasmon's three-year warranty and 1st year
On-site.
Plasmon's
new AIT Tape Autoloaders provide smaller companies, remote corporate sites
and branch offices with the high availability and reliability in a backup
solution, for a low cost per GB with reduced backup time. Plasmon AIT
Autoloaders are designed in a compact size for volumetric efficiency.
The V15 provides up to 1.5TB of storage capacity along with two AIT Drives
and the V30 can be configured with 4 AIT drives with up to 3TB of data
storage capacity. Both Autoloaders come complete with Plasmon's three-year
"Express Exchange" warranty.

or traditional network environment.
