Plasmon and Intel To Conduct Research on Fast, High Density Information Storage Technology

Plasmon Plc, a leading provider of recordable optical data storage solutions,
today announced the signing of a research agreement with Intel Corporation to
investigate next generation rewritable materials for information storage.
Details of this multiple phase research agreement were not disclosed.

film recording technologies."
Eric Hannah, Physics Sector Director, Intel Research said "Intel conducts a
variety of research related to memory technology. We are specifically interested
in investigating new materials that could support faster access times, denser
storage, reduced costs and lower power consumption for memory applications.
This investigation with Plasmon is intended to improve our understandings into
materials that may address these issues ".
